I'm an optimistic change-maker who wishes to help people in need. With an eye for design and rigorous psychology training, I hope to use empathy to connect with users and all-inclusive creative work to empower users.

I believe in the power of visuals in the decision-making process, which is why I also choose data visualization as another area of study. Design or visualization is not about making everything look pretty, it is about effective communication in a straight-forward, easily understandable way.

On the side, I love learning and sharing culture, and I especially love doing so with home-made Chinese food or a deliciously-made salmon dish over a dinner table. In addition to cooking, I love going on hikes, reading historical fiction books, listening to podcasts and audiobooks. As a semi-expert on navigating culture, I also enjoy watching TV shows that require subtitles (something I've been doing since the age of 3).
